Just like people say dyke and it not mean anything, faggot is close to that point. i say dyke at least 200 times a day.. I'm not putting myself down but using it a a type of label for a butch or fem.. I don't believe Tyler is a homophobe he just has a potty-mouth like myself, an 18 yr old. I'm a Buddhist but when I get upset I still say "Jesus Christ" it's language, the definitions of words change constantly and I foresee that the term faggot will carry a different connotation in the next 5 yrs, though some may still take it in offense
