Rebecca Ferguson CD to come to US soon!

Rebecca Ferguson is an English singer-songwriter born in Liverpool, who became notable as the runner-up of the seventh series of The X Factor to Matt Cardle in 2010.

She released her debut single "Nothing's Real But Love" last fall and entered the official UK charts at number 10. Her debut album, Heaven, was released in Europe December 2011. Now she is bringing her talent over here to the US!

The first time he heard her, Simon Cowell said "That is a recording voice!" and Nicole Scherzinger said, "She is our generation’s songbird."

During the recording process for her album, Rebecca revealed that she told label boss Simon Cowell that she wanted to write ALL of her debut album. She admitted that she refused to record material written for her as she wanted to create her own songs for new LP Heaven.

She is quoted by The Sun as saying: "Syco have been really brilliant – as soon as I put my foot down they back off completely. I just wanted songs I'd written on the album. At first I was going into sessions with writers who'd pretty much got all of the songs done already. But I told management they needed to let me write it because otherwise no-one's going to think I'm a credible artist. Then they let me just go into sessions on my own – I couldn't believe it."I told Simon Cowell I was writing my album Heaven". on 12 December it was announced that Heaven is set to be certified Gold after selling 128,000 in its first weeks release.

Simon Cowell posted on his Twitter account how proud he was of Ferguson's album saying, "I am absolutely blown away by @RebeccaFMusic, her album and by her performance. Congratulations!"

Proposition 8 stripped gay and lesbian Californians of the fundamental freedom to marry.

Adam Lambert fills Freddie Mercury's Shows on QUEEN tour

Adam Lambert has been chosen to front for QUEEN for their summer tour.

The former American Idol contestant revealed that he will sing the songs made famous by Freddie Mercury when the group begin the tour later this year.

He wowed fans by singing with original members Brian May and Roger Taylor at MTV’s EMAs in Belfast last November.

Adam told me he can’t wait to sing with guitarist Brian, 64, and drummer Roger, 62.

The flamboyant 30-year-old revealed: “The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the band by singing some f*****g great songs. It’s to keep the music alive for the fans and give it an energy that Freddie would have been proud of.”

“Being asked to front Queen is the best thing that can possibly happen.”

Freddie died in 1991 but Queen reformed for an album and tour with Free singer Paul Rodgers, 62, in 2005.

As well as his Queen duties, Adam releases stunning discotastic second album Trespassing on March 19. He grinned: “I learned so much from doing my first album.

“Trespassing is much more of an album, not just a collection of would-be singles like my first record.”

October 8th 1988, was the last time Freddie Mercury performed on stage. At the time, he was terribly ill with AIDS, although he didn't want people to know about it. He announced that fact the day before he died. Being ill he continued to compose and record songs and even took part in making videos. In my opinion, I'm Going Slightly Mad video is his masterpiece.

On November 24th, 1991 Freddie died peacefully at his home in London of AIDS-related bronchial pneumonia.

Eklund, is not ashamed of his porn career; in 2010 he spoke candidly about his career change in a New York Times piece unambiguously titled "From Pornography to Real Estate."

We told you about this development last March. Why it took a year to get this show on the air, who knows.

Million Dollar LIsting NY will be more of a Bravo Housewives series due to all the drama.

The characters in the New York version include Fredrik Eklund, a Swedish, gay ex-porn star turned Manhattan real estate hottie, and his business partner John Gomes. Also included will be Caroline Grane, described as a as “pretty and personable” Swedish bombshell, with the fourth cast member being Michael Lorber, a soft-spoken, smart, eligible bachelor on the show.

Sources say it appears to follow the "Housewives" formula -- strong, contrasting personalities who travel in the same circle but each with their own story and who clash whenever things threaten to get too boring. Scheduled for a late summer/ fall release.

Back to Frederik Eklund....Eklund entered a career in gay pornographic film under the pseudonym Tag Eriksson (or Tag Ericsson). He starred in the porn comedy movie The Hole (2003), and for this role won a Gay VN award for "Best Solo Scene." He appeared in six additional gay porn films with JET SET..

Eklund became Managing Director at the New York City real estate firm CORE Group Marketing. CORE is featured on the HGTV prim and posh "Selling New York." tv show. Several sources say that Eklund jumped real estate firms when HGTV refused to let the ex-porn star appear on "Selling New York." So in 2010, he became Managing Director at Prudential Douglas Elliman.

Eklund is constantly rated as downtown New York's “Top Luxury Broker” and was nominated as “Rookie of the Year” by the Real Estate Board of New York. He set record sales in 28 buildings in Manhattan last year and is often spotted showing apartments to top name celebrities.

Washington to Pass Gay Marriage Bill!

The Washington state Senate passed a bill Wednesday night that would legalize same-sex marriage, setting the stage for the state to become the seventh to allow gay and lesbian couples to wed.

The measure now heads to the House, which is expected to approve it and could take action on it as early as next week. Gov. Chris Gregoire supports the measure and has said she will sign it into law, though opponents have promised to challenge it at the ballot with a referendum.

Boycott HRC for Honoring Goldman Sachs

HRC is NOT a non profit - and in recent years, I believe, their dinners are all about who throws them the most money. For lobbying. Allegedly.

Now, with this announcement of HRC honoring Goldman Sachs, this publisher, WILL NO LONGER SUPPORT HRC.

Queer/LGBTIQA2Z Occupy Wall Street, a caucus of the NYC based Occupy Wall Street movement, announced today that it will protest a Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Gala honoring Goldman Sachs on Saturday February 4, 2012 at the Waldorf Astoria.

In contrast to the $650 a plate Gala, the Queer/LGBTIQA2Z Caucus will host a “Guerrilla Potluck” on the sidewalk outside of the prestigious hotel at 50th Street & Park Avenue from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The Queer Caucus: 1. Condemns HRC for honoring Goldman Sachs, 2. Calls upon HRC to adopt a strategy of Full Equality by 2014, and 3. Demands that HRC create a transparent process that includes the grassroots.

1. The Queer Caucus condemns HRC’s decision to honor Goldman Sachs in a time of financial collapse caused by their own unethical business practices and greed, and deplores the use of our cause and suffering for corporate public relations. HRC honoring Goldman Sachs at this time reveals all one needs to know about the corporate LGBT lobby, and its disconnect from the 99% and the LGBT people it purports to represent.

2. The Queer Caucus calls upon HRC to embrace the grassroots demand for Full Federal Equality by 2014 – the 50th Anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

After 60 years of struggle, there is still not a single federal non-discrimination law protecting LGBT Americans from discrimination. More incredibly, HRC, the corporate entity that controls our strategy, is not even seeking equal protection for our community.

To address this, the Queer Caucus calls on HRC to take The Pledge for Full LGBT Equality to seek and secure full non-discrimination protections based on sexual orientation and gender identify for all people.

The right to be protected from discrimination secures a core liberty interest. And it is the duty of government to protect LGBT Americans from the harm caused by discrimination as a matter of public welfare, law and conscience, as it has for decades for all other oppressed groups.

As HRC restrains the demand for equality, discrimination takes its insidious toll on LGBT Americans who suffer vast psychological harm rejected by their families and society, driven to suicide at 5 times the heterosexual norm by tormenting, minority stress afflictions, and lost hope.

A whopping 40% of homeless youth identity as LGBT, 66% of Transgender people have been fired or not hired for a job, 60% of our youth are taunted and feel unsafe at school, and LGBT people are 6x more likely to have multiple mental stress disorders due to societal discrimination.

“Homo/transphobia in America is a public health and economic emergency for our community” said Michael Tikile, an occupier and Duke University graduate. “We are not safe in school, work or housing. How are we supposed to live, pursue happiness or achieve economic equality?”

3. The Queer Caucus also demand that HRC open the process with transparency and grassroots inclusion.

Currently, HRC operates under a closed, hierarchical system, controlled by a financial elite, insulated from grassroots input. Likewise, in Congress, Democrat House members Barney Frank, Jared Polis and Tammy Baldwin, keep the grassroots out of the conversation, protecting the DNC strategy from movement agitation and impact.

With this structure in place, queer occupiers know that only a handful of privileged voices are setting the national queer agenda and strategy, defining what “LGBT equality” means and who our friends are.

For example, HRC's key sponsors includes a long list of big businesses that contributed to recent economic and environmental distress, including Citi Bank, Bank of America, Chevron, BP, Shell, Morgan Stanley, MetLife, Deloitte, Lexus, Prudential, and Ernst & Young. This is BS. HRC should not be taking corporate blood money.

“With all of these companies, you’d expect the power to be on our side! But instead, our community is simply a tool and pawn in the political system” said Tanya Walker, an original occupier and tireless transgender activist.

Simply put, the Queer Caucus demands equal non-discrimination protections under the 1964 Civil Rights Act because equality is the only true antidote to LGBT abuse - like it has proven to be for race, sex, national origin, religion, age and disability – long protected from discrimination by law.

“Equality and non-discrimination are universal values that define basic human dignity” said Todd (Tif) Fernandez, a human rights lawyer and grassroots activist. “It is our civic duty as Americans to protect and respect the LGBT community immediately.”

Jeremy, 22 (Little MonsterTM) and Tomo, 40 (dad of two): Both based in New York but from Oregon and England respectively. Jeremy had to deal with his own coming out only a few years ago and knows what a valuable resource justleftthecloset would have been during that time. Tomo has spent his career in the fashion industry working variously as a magazine editor, producer and photographer. With more and more reports of gay bullying emerging in the news, Jeremy and Tomo both feel very strongly about wanting to help. They believe that a safe, fun online community - where kids can feel they have a unified voice and a position of strength - is needed now more than ever.

Undercover Princes and Princesses

TLC features Prince Manvendra of Rajpipla, the first Indian royal to come out openly in the all-new series UNDERCOVER PRINCES premiering tonight at 10/9c.

This four part series features Prince Manvendra who in 1991 married Princess Yuvrani Chandrika Kumari from Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh, because, he claims, "I thought after marriage I will be alright because I never knew and nobody told me that I was gay and [that] this is normal. Homosexuality is not a disease. I tremendously regret for ruining her life. I feel guilty". The marriage ended in divorce when Manvendra revealed his homosexuality to his wife.

In March of 2006, the story of Manavendra's coming out made headlines in India and around the world. Effigies of the Prince were burnt in Rajpipla, and demands were made to strip him of his title. He expressed that he has no regrets about coming out, and that he believes the people of his state respect him for his leadership in educating on HIV/AIDS. As of 2008, he is the only known person of royal lineage to have publicly come out as gay.

UNDERCOVER PRINCES goes beyond a dating show and takes you into the realm of true docu-reality as the cameras capture what happens when three real life royals are forced to ditch their fleets of servants, live together and search for love as “undercovers.” It is really quite fascinating as they struggle to participate in simple tasks such as working an everyday job or cooking dinner.

The series follows single princes and single princesses from around the world who go undercover in the UK in pursuit of true love, according to a TLC press release. They hit up bars and clubs and try online dating sites and even speed dating in search of their perfect match to take back to their respective kingdoms.

"Undercover Princes" and "Undercover Princesses" will each air four episodes, followed by a one-hour update special scheduled to air on Tues., Mar. 27.

Jaymes Vaughan, a singer and dancer with the infamous Chippendales male revue recently came out in the pages of QVegas magazine. Making him the 2nd out gay dancer from the show.

What?!? Chippendales has singers? Of course they do - these are your Grandma's Chippendales!

Most of you don't remember the original Chippendales. In 1979 Chippendales was the first all-male stripping troupe to make a business performing for mostly female audiences. Through the quality of its staging and choreography, Chippendales also helped legitimize stripping as a form of popular entertainment.

Now, they live on in Las Vegas. The Chippendales perform in a ten-million dollar theater and lounge built specifically for them at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Annually, the official men of Chippendales are seen by almost two million people worldwide. Men ARE ALLOWED into see the show these days.

Back to Jaymes, who does double duty at Rio.

“My nights start at 6:00pm and I don’t stop until 12:30am. I start Show In The Sky, run up to Chippendales in time for my first song, run back to Show In The Sky for my next number there, and so it goes each night. There is a four minute break where I run to Burger King, they give me my chicken sandwich and I run back in time to sing my next song.” Vaughan has also released a new single, “Vampire,” and recorded the accompanying music video. He says he’s always loved the Dracula types, even as a kid, but that the song is really “about being in a situation where you can’t be yourself; where you can’t live a part of your life in the daylight; being in a relationship that I can’t share with my family. “

Coming out wasn’t like facing the harsh light of day: Vaughan was already out to his family and friends—and even hosted Las Vegas Pride in 2011. This is more a case of coming out publicly as one of the few openly gay entertainers on the Strip.

"I hope to be able to take advantage of a platform so that my fourteen-year-old self that was sitting in Chesterfield County, Virginia, might find some hope. The fourteen year old that had no one to look up to; whose mama told him he better not be gay; whose church told him he was going to hell; whose best friend killed himself because he didn’t “fit in.” Because he didn’t have any hope. I thought for so long you had to cover up who you were to be successful. I’ve realized you can be more successful by being yourself.

IN 2008- Instinct magazine's annual swim suit issue cover features Chippendales' first openly gay dancer, Brandon Pereyda, talked about how most Chippendales guys are mistakenly pegged as being gay.

"I guess it is monumental for this company," Pereyda notes. "Chippendales guys are often pegged as being gay. And they're not. And I think this will clear the slate."

He continues, "They're all straight, but we would do anything for each other and that's what I really love about working here. They don't view my be gay as a negative thing at all."

On a sidenote - Chippendales in Vegas has already reached out to muscle hottie Kris Humphries, hoping to fill their empty celebrity MC spot at the Rio -- previously occupied by ex-98 Degrees singer Jeff Timmons.

Cambodia Lesbian Wrongly Jailed

Phlong Srey Rann, 20, could be spending the next four and a half years behind bars for having sex with her girlfriend.

“On August 10, 2011, [her girlfriend’s] brother filed a complaint that I was illegally detaining her. The police then arrested me and accused me of illegal detention and human trafficking,” Phlong Srey Rann explained.

In November, a judge convicted her of having sexual intercourse with a minor and sentenced her to five years in prison.

The “minor” involved was a co-worker she had met at a shoe factory in Kandal province. They had been together for more than a year.

“I told police that I was not [involved in] human trafficking and that we loved each other. I don’t understand why her brother filed a lawsuit against me,” Phlong Srey Rann said.

Letters between the two support these claims. One from her girlfriend identifies an older brother as the source of the problem. “My brother is forcing me to stop having a relationship with you, but I have to overcome it . . . you are the person whom I love so much,” the hand-written letter reads.

Phlong Srey Rann said it was news to her that her girlfriend was under age. Her girlfriend’s family had provided falsified documents to the court identifying their daughter as only 14 years old, she said.

“My girlfriend’s family lied to the court when they said she was only 14 years old,” Phlong Srey Rann said.

Cambodian labour law stipulates that factory workers must be 18 or older, which would mean that her girlfriend had been working in the factory since she was 13.

Phlong Srey Rann’s girlfriend had been taken back to her village in Kampot by her family, people familiar with the case said. She was confined to her parents’ home and her mobile phone has been taken from her, they said.

Still, a letter slipped through. “I love only you. I will never love other. If my family does not love you, I will still love you forever.”

Starbucks Joins MicroSoft Endorsing Gay Marriage

Last week Microsoft officially come out in support of two pieces of legislation that would legalize same-sex marriage in Washington state.

They said,"Marriage equality in Washington would put employers here on an equal footing with employers in the six other states that already recognize the committed relationships of same-sex couples - Connecticut, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont. This in turn will help us continue to compete for talent."

Microsoft joined Nike, RealNetworks, Group Health Cooperative and Concur.

Now comes Starbucks! They don't have any gay employees, do they??

Starbucks today joined a growing list of corporations, including Microsoft, that have endorsed gay marriage legislation in the state House and Senate.

Gay marriage supporters have apparently secured the votes needed to pass a measure through both houses, and Gov. Chris Gregoire has said she'll sign it into law.

REMEMBER Christopher Cristwell, the shirtless Starbucks barista who sang about his disgruntled co-workers and mocked fussy customers on YouTube? He was fired after the video went viral. The video is still popular and approaching 1,000,000 views!

Starbucks definitely has a lot gay workers.

MADONNA W.E.? Mixed Reviews

Madonna landed stateside last night to premiere her directorial debut "W.E." in New York at the Ziegfeld Theater.

While the dresses Madge wore to the European premieres were a bit more understated, like the black and pink L'Wren Scott and the blue gown with Chanel leather gloves for a photocall, you just never know what's going to happen when you've got one of the world's most famous faces in front of the camera.

Madge didn't disappoint. Madonna opted for full-on red carpet drama in a sheer black Marchesa gown with a lace and sequinencrusted bodice and gravity-defying ruffles on the sleeves.

With Madonna's "W.E." taking home a Golden Globe just over a week ago (her "Masterpiece" won Best Original Song), much of the buzz at the film's NYC premiere Monday night (January 23) was about the upcoming Oscar nominations. (Today).

Comedian Charlie Hides has made a name for himself as the latest YouTube sensation with his uncanny portrayal of a wide range of celebrities. Justin Bieber and Elton John to Madonna, Cher and Lady Gaga among the numerous A-Listers he has portrayed.

Born in Boston Massachusetts, the 7^th of ten children he developed a skill for mimicry on the school playground, imitating teachers, class mates and the comedians he’d seen on television.

In 1999 Charlie moved to London and has been performing stand up and in cabaret and fringe theatre productions. Kimberley Locke to star in T Jones film, "Therapy Sessions"

Many of Kimberley's fans have asked her over the years when she was going to get into acting. Her answer to this question was usually "when the perfect project comes along." That script has presented itself to her recently.

Kimberley has signed on to star in the new T Jones film, "Therapy Sessions". The film will also star BernNadette Stanis (Good Times) & Elise Neal (Scream 2, All Of Us) and is to be directed by Tony Singletary (The Parkers, Married With Children).

The Therapy Sessions is the story of a young woman hemmed in by her past. Diane Phillips continues to make the same mistakes in her quest for love and acceptance. After getting over her hang up that black folks don't believe in mental health therapy, Diane sets out to make a new path in life.

But like life can be unpredictable and despite her best efforts, Diane has to deal with not only past hurts and pains but the daily drama of being a black woman working in a good ole boys corporate environment and a love life that is constantly on the skids. At the end of each week, Diane seeks refuge in her rocks...best friends Kissie and Payton and her therapist, Dr. Parkin.

This project is a labor of love written over thirteen years ago. I believe in this story and I want you to believe in it as well.
